    We have just come back from St Keverne nr Helston where Tht White Hart is situated!!
    We ate there twice and found the food to be just over average but overpriced on some dishes.For example the mussels where lovely but for a mains portion charged you roughly £11.i can pick a huge bag of these up from my local fish market for £2 and thats up north,i make the same dish out of these for maybe 3 portions and this would cost me £5 including the wine ,cream ,onions and herbs e.t.c!!Divide this by 3 and do the math for yourself!!Yes a huge return!!
    Secondly my partner is not a big meat eater so the second time we went she asked for the Mushroom strogonof,very easy to make,button mushroom,cream,brandy/cognac,onions,
    herbs e.t.c e.t.c!!!Oh and not forgeting the rice!!it came as quite a small portion which IS good as we don't like to be overfaced,Then they charged me £10.25!!My own fault i just expected a lot more for my money!!If i would have seen the dish first i would have offered them no more than £6!!This dish is actually advertised on ther site for £8.95 which obviousley is still well overpriced!!When i spoke to the scottish man who seemed to be in charge regarding this dish he took slight offence i think and explained that the reason for this large price was due to the cognac!!you don't need to be a chef to realize that there is maybe 1 measure in this dish if that and when i make it i use brandy as you can never tell!!Anyway he said he would take it on board!!well lets hope he does!!And remember my we friend,the customer is ALWAYS right!!!!!!
