    The food in this restaurant is very questionable! Both my wife and I had the Chicken Bhuna, it stated in the description that it was a tomato based dish. When it arrived it was full of Peppers! Red and Green! When we complained the staff were very unhelpful, saying that the sauce was tomato based! We pointed out that the ingredients in the menu did not say it included peppers at all! And the dish shouldn’t contain them either, but our meals were full of them! We had no response about these points and even had the cooks coming down stairs to look at who was complaining about their food. We thought we could have least had some response from the cooks who were making these meals, but no!

    We try to get to Taj Mahal at least weekly, as it's our favourite of all indian restaurants. Do try the Green Chicken Masala and the Chicken Chill Masala. Their Naan bread is honestly the nicest i have tasted in any Indian. We keep trying other restaurants throughout the country but nearly always end up disappointed. The staff are so welcoming, it's great value.

    I and my family went to Taj Mahal,penzance to celebrate our Christmas party. The food and service was very good. My family really liked it and was very happy after our dinner. Everything was perfect. Nice food, excellent service and friendly staff are at Taj.

    Highly recommended.

    I went to this restaurant because i'd read the reviews on here and thought it was a must. When my boyfriend and I walked in we were treated as if they were doing us a favour by letting us eat there even though the restaurant was half full. I was really disappointed. The food was good but it really didn't make up for the poor service.

    My husband and I visited Cornwall in Dec 07 to celebrate a birthday and as usual we went for a curry. Little did we realise that it would be the best curry we'd ever had - and we've tasted a lot!
    The restaurant is lovely, the service excellent and the food is superb!
    The Taj Mahal in Penzance is a must if you're in the area and you love Indian food as much as we do!

    We telephone ordered a take-away on the spur of the moment from The Taj Mahal on the corner of Daniel Place and Queen Street, Penzance - and I'm so glad we did! The food was superb and with a free bottle of a decent house red wine thrown in we were very happy.
    The staff were efficient and polite on what was a very busy Friday evening and our food was ready to collect when we arrived.
    The menu was more adventurous than most in the area and we tried several dishes which were new to us. We were also pleasantly surpised with the quality and quantity for the price. Plenty for four hungry people and there were only two of us. We'll definitely be going back to eat in the restaurant.
