Maharajah Indian Restaurant and Take-Away review
Food - 1/3 sent back
Service - waiters argued with us when we sent it back because they said that we didn't know what 'real Indian' food was
Bill - £96 for a starter and a main course each between four
I would never go back here again except to warn customers away from going. It looks like it's recommended on a few sites because the reviews are very out dated and there are a few generic comments about the restaurant that look very much like they've been written by staff members. -

Maharajah Indian Restaurant and Take-Away review
I booked a table near the window for my family of five three days before the day we where to eat ( asked twice that we where getting a window seat and was assurred we where ).
On arrivall was shown to table no where near window and the manager refused to move use even though we had booked.
Things didnt get any better the waiters are just interested in getting as quick a turn around on the tables as they can, I think this is due to the large groups of stag/hen nights which attend before there drinking starts.
The manager was very rude when after being sat down for around two minutes my six year old son hadn't decided what he wanted to order and was told by the manager to hurry up.
the food was delivered and half the order needed to go back as it was wrong so two of us sat with no food whilst the others eat.
In total my family of five had starters and main courses thrown at us and the bill presented within fourty five minutes of our arrivall.
NOT A RELAXING PLEASENT EVENING AS EXPECTED

Maharajah Indian Restaurant and Take-Away review
I never thought there was such a thing as a bad Indian until I ate here 2 weeks ago. I eat a lot of Indian food and this is by far the worst I have ever had.
It started with the popodums and went downhill from there - the chilli sauce was ketchup with chilli in it and it wasn't heinz!! More like cheap ketchup from the burger van!
I had the Karahi chicken and usually the chicken is in large cubes previously skewered but the meat was very small, and clearly bought in already cooked. Ther sauce tasted like it was from a jar and to icing on the cake was the bombay potatoes.......the potatoes were from a tin! Tinned potatoes have a very unique taste! Aweful, really ruined my evening, especially as a glass of wine and a pint of bber cost me £11.50! -
