Fifteen Cornwall review
My friend and I went to Fifteen for lunch on 1st December and were quite dispointed, the menu was limited and even though I'm not fussy there was nothing on the menu that instantly appealed. I finally decided on the Parpadelle which I thought was delicious on the first mouthful, by the fourth mouthful I was struggling to taste anything apart from the strong balsamic vinegar and the oil that were in the dish, both of which were far too overpowering. The ambiance was non existent and the staff were unattentive. On the upside they immediately bring you a jug of water and some bread when you sit down and the chocolate brownie that we had for desert was delicious. All in all it was very disapointing and I wouldn't go again. -

Fifteen Cornwall review
My girlfriend and I had a fantastic lunch at fifteens in early september. We had a great view overlooking the beautiful beach of watergate bay and the whole experience really was a joy. The service was friendly and the food very special. Of course it was more expensive than most restaurants but that would be expected by the standard of the setting and the food, and it was certainly worth it for a special occasion. I love the idea of helping underpriviliged youths into careers and generally a big fan of what is being done at fifteen, top marks. -

Fifteen Cornwall review
After hearing great reviews on this restaurant from friends, we decided to celebrate our "Ruby Wedding Anniversary" at Fifteen. Sadly we were very disappointed. We went on 7th October 2008 and found the venue quite chilly. The portions were sparse to say the least. I couldn't have the first taster as I am allergic to seafood and asked the waitress what I could have as an alternative. She had a word with the chef and came back saying they had some wonderful beetroots with horseradish, so I settled for that. The beetroot was served on a china spoon and was the size of a peanut with horseradish the size of a sesame seed on it. I wish I had taken a photo - it would have been a good one to send to the papers. I don't think I could have cut a piece of beetroot as small as this. My husband's dressed crab was at least a mouthful and probably quite tasty. The next course charred nectarine with parma ham and leaves was tasty but again quite small. The next for me a bean risotto - a few mouthfuls of nothing special, my husband's three pieces of lobster ravioli. The next course was pork for my husband which he said was very nice and sea bass for me. My portion was still very small and this was the main course accompanied by leaves. The pudding was called chocolate and consisted of tiny pieces of different chocolate delicacies very prettily presented. I was still hungry at the end of the meal, unusual for me as I do not eat large portions. The wine was overly expensive and not very special. They do not leave the wine on the table and you have to keep asking for it. We saw some half empty bottles being taken round the back no doubt for staff to share later. Will not be going back to any Fifteen Restaurant. -

Fifteen Cornwall review
Have been to 15 twice now, both as part of a group for Sunday lunch and have to say both times i have been impressed. Eating from the set menu provides decent value, the food is of a very high standard and promptly delivered. If i were to criticize it would be that portions are a little stingey and they do like their oil - a lot of the food is heavily dressed. We found service relaxed, friendly and efficient and i will be happy to go again. Views over the beach are great and atmosphere welcoming. -

Fifteen Cornwall review
Loved the view and the setting with the sunset and enjoyed the food……. but not so keen on seeing it the second time around. Starting at 1.00 am until 3.45, I saw the whole meal on its return journey whilst getting very intimate with my loo. Out of a party of four, two of us became un-well. We won’t be returning to the restaurant. What a shame as we are locals. I hope the up their game or it could be a long winter. -

Fifteen Cornwall review
We went to Fifteen as part of a weekend away in Cornwall and it was the absolute highlight of the whole weekend! From start to finish it was an absolutely fantastic, faultless experience! Everything from the food, location and the staff who coudln't have been more helpfull was excellent! The five courses we had as part of the dinner tasting menu were amazing and definately worth the price. After dinnner we had fabulous cocktails and the 'rasberry tart' is very recommened!
If your thinking twice about going to fifteen - DON'T - just go and have an amazing exerience! -

Fifteen Cornwall review
I recently went to 15 for lunch with a party of 7. I think o fthe whole table, only one person was happy with their meal. The menu was fairly limited, and samey. The starters went down ok, but the mains were almost universally lacking. My chicken was bland and unseasoned, and served on a bed of cold tomato, peppers, and soggy bread! I don't know who thought that was a good idea, but it also made up a large part of the tomato soup starter as well. Service was ok at first, but by the desserts, they were clearing the table while some were still eating, and asking if we wanted the bill before we'd all finished. Plus, the cheese board was so heavily weighted towards the breaks and fruit salami. I could have done with 3 times the cheese, or a third of the accompaniment. It is a CHEESE board after all.
Finally, seeing as Cornwall is hardly a high income area, I think the prices are off the scale, especially for average to poor food. The set menu helps the cost, but further minits your choices. -

Fifteen Cornwall review
Have just returned from an excellent evening at fifteen restaurant. The staff were excellent, food was amazing and I really enjoyed the chef's taster food and wine menu's. I cannot speak highly enough of the staff and despite having to deal with a drunken, oafish and self important customer at a nearby table they maintained a professional and relaxed attitude and made the whole experience first class!! -

Fifteen Cornwall review
I would like to say that I thought Fifteen was amazing. The evening tasting menu is exactly how it sounds - a tasting experience. If you are looking to feel stuffed and bloated when you leave, go elsewhere. The 7 courses for £50 per head mean you get to sample a bit of everything, and you still get a choice of starter, main and desert. The food is extremely well executed, full of flavour and presented immaculately. There are also some reasonably priced wines from £18. The staff are well versed to fully explain the menu to you on arrival, and are extremely attentative, without being overbearing. The atmostphere is relaxed and the views are simply stunning. What more can I say - a wonderful experience but probably best saved for a special occasion due to cost.
