The Other Place specialises in locally caught seafood, in a stunning setting overlooking the River Fowey. Full a la carte menu, with monthly changing seasonal specials, meat and vegetarian dishes are also available. Named as one of Rick Stein's top five favourite places to eat in Cornwall, we do get very busy, and advise you to book if at all possible. However, we also have a take away and ice-cream parlour downstairs if you just can't wait! Former home and inspiration to celebrated author Daphne Du Maurier ('Rebecca', 'Don't Look Now', T'he Birds'), Fowey also hosts a lively sailing Regatta each August. We are located just 3 miles from the Eden Project and within easy access of Cornwall's magnificent beaches and other attractions. Fowey is a perfect base for your Cornish holiday. Private parties also catered for.
