Top quality, up-market restaurant with unique interior. One of only two Michelin starred restaurants in Cornwall.

The long wait between the starter and main course did not add to our enjoyment of the meal. The foie gras was all right, but not the best we have had by any means. My red mullet was quite nice but Norman's steak was smothered in Bearnaise sauce, which would have been better served on the side. At least we had a laugh at the wine list. It was interesting to note that the gewurtztraminer tasted of pear and "leeches". I hope they meant lychees or litchis!

Abbey Restaurant Review

Delightful, calm & comfortable bar & restaurant, down a quaint lane leading from Chapel Street to the Wharf. [don't try to drive!]
Service is unobtrusive but attentive. Environment relaxing with subtle but noticable attention to detail. Head Chef Ben Tunnicliffe prefers to cook himself, so you get consitently well thought out & prepared dishes which are unpretentious and satisfying. Never a missed beat, never a slip up, no hurry... excellent!
