Small contemporary restaurant serving freshly prepared, seasonal, local food. We have a gorgeous terrace available for al fresco dining lunchtimes Monday to Saturday and Friday and Saturday evenings from mid August.

Sydney australia being 'the city' of resturants My sister fresh up top for a few weeks I knew we had to try Gaudi's. Blown away by a mackerel on chorizo and dill sauce starter we headed for different mains. My rissotto with parmesan and roasted pumpkin seeds was divine inspiration ,deep flavours left me utterly satisfied.
Ros's beautifully cooked lamb and perfectly cooked vegetables were enough to seriously impress.
A couple of glasses of Gaudi's house wine later served by considerate and friendly waiter and waitress and the bill couldnt quite reach £60.Outrageously good value for this kind of resturant experience. I felt like tipping euphorically but ended up being realistic within my modest limits. Final comment .You'd be mad not too!

We had lunch at gaudi,s last week. I was expecting something special after reading the reviews beforehand. Two of us ordered steak sandwiches, they were so chewy it gave them both jaw ache. The starters seemed overpriced, i tried the scallops, but for £8.50 i expected more than two. My meal was nice,(pork)and mashed potato, but the veg came ten minutes after the main course. They were not busy only four more diners as well as the three of us. they did give us a discount when we complained about the steak, but overall it was a very dissapointing experience, don.t think we will be going there again. Much prefer Viners.

I have eaten in some of the finest restaurants in Europe including La Terrazza at Hotel Eden, Don Alfonso at Le Sirenuse and Le Cinq at the George V Paris to name but a few. I found the food and service at Gaudi's was on a par, I appreciate that this is a very bold statement to make but one that is fully deserved. Nik Boyle is an inspiration to young chefs everywhere. His vision, style and pursuit of excellence makes for one of the finest if not the finest dining experience in Cornwall. Those wanting uncompromising food and service then forget about Jamie Oliver at Whitegate Bay or Rick Stein in Padstow, Nik Boyles “Guidi’s” is the real thing and Cornwall’s next hope for a Michelin Star……and well deserved it would be.
