Turks Head

Traditional olde style pub setting, which is in fitting with the pub's status as the oldest in town.
We went straight for main courses, having roast beef, lamb shank and tandoori monkfish. Not eating meat I didn't get to try the other dishes, but the roast beef looked excellent and seemed to go down pretty well. Carn seemed to like his lamb shank as it disappeared fairly quickly without trace.
My monkfish was pretty good with 3 tails, rice and salad although I probably wouldn't have it again as the tandoori was a little over-powering for the monkfish.
All in all the service was fast and friendly and they even tried to undercharge us on the bill!
