The Riv - Mawgan Porth
review by: Tom Muir
05th 2006f June 2006

There is no reason to eat at this establishment. Having booked a table for four people 3weeks in advance for 7.30, no table was available. We were finally seated and food ordered which finally arrived at 9.15! Three times in the evening i resorted to walking about the place searching for a waitress just to get glasses or order deserts.
Out of 4 meals only one (the duck) was acceptable as a meal. The Haloumi skewers and cous cous was appauling, the childrens spagetti bolognese was basically sauceless mince on undercooked pasta. We were refunded a bottle of wine, which did not compensate for a truely diabolical night, our last night in Cornwall.
There is no reason that I can give to eat at this place.
