Our primary objective is to build the definitive dining guide for Cornwall with a little help from the Duchy's restaurant and diners.
We believe that by contributing the vital content to our site restaurant owners are already doing their part, so we don't charge for the privilege! Combined with user reviews and ratings we are hoping to not only build an online resource but a community where diners will both find and contribute useful information.
If you look around the internet you'll see many of the most successful sites don't charge their users, e.g. Google, mySpace etc. By being the most comprehensive, they are the most successful - as the internet mantra goes, 'Content is King'.
The site also indulges various personal interests. As a web developer, raised in Cornwall with a love of eating out it seemed like natural progression!
We do offer enhanced packages including editable menus, featured listings, photo galleries and 360 panoramas. Also as a web development and marketing company with specialist digital photographic equipment we hope the site will raise our profile within the sector
Depending on the success of Dining in Cornwall we are looking to add several sections and features both in terms of content and technology. Having a background in IT means we can easily implement advanced technologies without having to pass on the cost. For example we have added an RSS feed to the reviews section meaning other sites can include our latest reviews into their pages. We are also looking at the most effective way of delivering restaurant listings to mobile phone users so they can book or order food on the move
At present we are expanding the Dining in Cornwall idea and creating Devon, Dorset and Somerset versions
